Wait times and parks
Where do wait times come from, and how fresh are they?
Parkie shows the waits the parks post, collected by ThemeParks.wiki and Queue-Times.com. They update about every minute. Parks sometimes post a wait that isn't the real line, or stop updating when a ride is closing, so treat them as a guide.
A park says "Closed" but it's open (or the other way around).
Parkie reads each park's schedule, including early entry, extended evenings and separately ticketed events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Halloween Horror Nights. If a park is running outside its posted schedule, Parkie shows it as open once rides are actively posting waits. If something still looks wrong, pull down to refresh or email us the park and time.
How do I choose which parks show up?
On the Parks tab, tap the filter button at the top right and pick your parks. Parks that are open (including ticketed events) are listed first.
Which parks does Parkie cover?
Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, Disneyland Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, with more to come.
Alerts and notifications
How do ride alerts work?
Open a ride and tap Set an alert. Choose "when it opens", "when it breaks down", or a wait above or below a number, and whether it alerts once or for the rest of the day. "When it opens" only fires when a closed or down ride actually reopens. Wait alerts fire as soon as the wait crosses your number. You can have up to 3 alerts. Manage them on your profile.
I'm not getting alerts.
- Make sure notifications are on for Parkie: iPhone Settings → Notifications → Parkie, or Android Settings → Apps → Parkie → Notifications.
- Check that your alert is switched on (Profile → Ride alerts). "Once" alerts switch off after they fire.
- Open Parkie once while signed in, so your phone is registered for notifications.
Alerts are checked about every minute and depend on the park's posted data, so they can occasionally be late.
Logging rides
How do I log a ride?
Tap Log next to a ride in the park list, or Log Ride on its page. Add your wait, a rating, notes and the song or variant if there is one, and optionally share it to the feed. Edit or delete logs from My Rides.
I logged a ride with no signal. Is it lost?
No. Parkie saves it on your phone and sends it as soon as you're back online. You'll see a "waiting to sync" banner until then, where you can sync now or remove it.
What is auto check-in? (iPhone)
If you turn it on and allow "Always" location, your iPhone notices when you arrive at a park and starts your park day, even when Parkie is closed. Only the check-in is saved, never your location. Turn it off any time in Parkie's settings.
Where do my step counts come from? (iPhone)
From Apple Health and your iPhone's motion sensor, if you allow it. Parkie only reads your steps; it never writes to Health.
Account
I forgot my password.
If you signed up with email, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen, or go to parkieapp.com/reset-password, and we'll email you a link to choose a new one. If you used Sign in with Apple or Google, just sign in with that button again. There's no separate Parkie password.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account on iPhone, or Profile → Delete account on Android. See deleting your account for what gets deleted and other options.
Safety
How do I report or block someone?
Tap the ••• on a post or profile and choose Report or Block. Blocking hides their posts from you and yours from them. We review reports and remove content that breaks our community guidelines. For anything urgent, email support@parkieapp.com.
Still stuck?
Email support@parkieapp.com. Parkie is an independent app, so for tickets, reservations, park passes or anything that happened at a park, please contact the park directly.
